Flutter Kicks

Flutter kicks are a challenging exercise which is why they feature as the 4321 exercise of the week, but actually the great thing about them is that you can scale them right back to almost beginner level as well as making them incredibly advanced!

No matter what level you are doing them at be sure to keep the base of your back firmly on the floor. Do not let it arch. That is absolutely key to this exercise! Start with your feet up high at 90ºC and very slowly lower them to the floor, the closer they are to the floor the more difficult the exercise is. However, the minute the back arches you have gone a touch too far so lift them very slightly back up towards the starting point.

There is no end to the variety of ab exercises you can do so do not stick to the same ones. Add flutter kicks, advanced sit ups and many other ab exercises into your routine to keep working the abs hard! If you like this exercise of the week please share with friends and family!
