It is Friday and on schedule here is my weekly food plan. No real events this week so it is an easy week to plan. Saturday night has been left open at the moment as we may head out, but if not we will simply see what we fancy on the day and head to the shops then. If the weather keeps up we may even have a BBQ, but lets not get carried away, it is Scotland after all!

Chicken & vegetable cous cous is on the lunch menu again. I would normally wait a couple more weeks to repeat a dish, but last time I planned to create a recipe for it and in my haste to get everything done on the Sunday night I forgot to note down quantities! Therefore, hoping to produce a new recipe for you next week! We are back to soups in the evening next week, despite the good weather, because we are both working a lot of late nights and just want something light and simple to cook when we get in.

Also, I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I was loving a square of dark chocolate with a coffee in the afternoon so I have opted for that as a snack choice every day at the moment. However, if I am really hungry I will likely opt for something like oatcakes instead as they are more filling and will keep me going far longer than a square of dark chocolate! At the moment that really is just a treat and not a snack that serves any real purpose! It is working at the moment though, so I am not worried!
