ARTICLE: MY FOOD PLAN 20-1-18

 

This food plan malarky is starting to feel like routine again, which is great! January is a very busy month for me so getting organised is a massive help! You might notice I am eating eggs more than normal at the moment and there are 2 reason for this. The first is because I am really enjoying them, which is obviously important, and the second is because at the moment some mornings during the week I can nip home for half an hour in between appointments to have breakfast! On the days, when this is not possible, overnight oats are still my fave option!

Sausages (lean, pork sausages) with a mix of green lentils and pearl barley is on the menu for lunch at the beginning of the week. Giulio and I both love this dish in the winter. It is hearty, filling and comforting in the afternoon when sheltering from the snow! As you know I have my biggest meal at lunch time so this might work well for your dinner, but either way, I would definitely recommend giving it a go! Turkey meatballs kebabs are on the menu for dinner, which is another awesome dish! It feels like a massive treat, but it is incredibly healthy especially as I am using lean turkey mince to make the meatballs and serving them with plenty of roasted vegetables! What is not to like!!

I have not made any new recipes in 2018 so my priority for next week is to work on some new dishes!! Keep your eyes peeled, I have some excellent ideas coming up!!
